Meow Mail Update: Jack & Jill

Remember Jack & Jill, the twin tripod kittens who had their back left legs amputated after a lawnmower accident? 

Thanks to you, this brother-sister bonded pair is thriving! 

Jack recently got neutered and fully vetted. 

The siblings are no longer identical– differences in their fur patterns started to show as they grew.

Jack has also grown bigger than his little sister, making him look like the big brother he is!

Jill required a second surgery on her injured tail, but she recovered beautifully and will be getting her second round of vaccines at the end of this month. 

According to their rescuer, Sarah Richardson, they’ve both adjusted incredibly well to walking on 3 legs.

They run, jump, and tumble just as well as any cat with 4 legs. 

Now they spend their days being showered with love and attention in their foster home, never spending a moment apart. 

“They’re very attached to each other,” said Sarah “They never leave each other’s side!”

Jack and Jill are roughly 3 months old and as active as ever. 

When they’re not chasing around wand toys, they’re curled up together in their cozy cat tree or foster mom’s lap. 

“Their foster said they’re the biggest babies,” said Sarah. “Complete and total lap cats.”

Your donation helped fund their surgeries, follow-up appointments, food, and medicine. 

You made sure they never had to worry about being hurt or hungry ever again. 

“It’s much harder to adopt out a bonded pair, so we’re grateful for everyone who donated towards their long-term care while we find the perfect home for them,” said Sarah.

Thanks to you, these plump little kittens are on track to be adopted and live happily ever after!
